No Day of race Registration 

Changing Your Race Distance:Runners who are already registered for the race may change distances online through their Ultrasignup Account unless the race distance is sold out. To do this, please login to your ultrasignup account and under your name choose "Registration History." From there you can edit your registration until online registration is closed. If you miss doing it online you can also change race morning unless the race is sold out.

Kid's Race: Free, Register race morning from 11pm -11:45pm. Starts at 12.

What is included in your entry fee? 

We offer professionally organized events, fully marked courses, well stocked aid stations and finisher awards. Top 3 men/women also receive awards. Also included in your entry fee is a post race meal and drinks. Merchandise is extra. Please bring cash or checks. We have t-shirts and other clothing available. 

Race Day Schedule

 (Wave starts every 15 minutes due to COVID regulations)

  • 6:00 AM: Race check in, merch pickup and day of registration opens
  • 7:00 AM: Cut off for Marathon check in
  • 7:15 AM: Marathon Wave 1 Start
  • 7:30 AM: Marathon Wave 2 Start
  • 8:30 AM: Cut off for Half Marathon check in
  • 8:45 AM: Half Marathon Wave 1 Start 
  • 9:00 AM: Half Marathon Wave 2 Start 
  • 9:15 AM: Half Marathon Wave 3 Start
  • 9:30 AM: Half Marathon Wave 3 Start
  • 11 - 11:45 AM: Register and check in for kid's race
  • 12 PM: Kid's Race Start at West Beach Shelter


Mile 6.75 and 13.25: Cornet Bay Aid

Mile 17 and 18.25: Pass Lake 

Mile 21.25 and 23: Bowman Bay 


Pass Lake cut off: mile 18.25, 5.5 hours (1:00 PM)
Bowman Bay cut off: mile 23, 6.5 hours (2:00 PM) 
Overall cut off: 8 hours (3:30 PM, 3 mph average pace)

Aid stations are staffed with helpful volunteers serving water, electrolyte drinks, gels, fruit, soda, candy, PB & Js and chips to keep you fueled and focused on your run!

   The Deception Pass Half Marathon & Full Marathon explores the coastal trails around the         famous Deception Pass Bridge on the North end of Whidbey Island. Enjoy stunning water         views while running through deep green forests, rocky coastline, and some of the sweetest        PNW single track! We will have a post race food, brews and awards.


Mile 5.5 and mile 7.4: Pass Lake 

Mile 9.25 and mile 11: Bowman Bay


Pass Lake cut off: mile 7.4, 2.5 hours (11:30 AM) 

Bowman Bay cut off: mile 9.25, 3.5 hours (12:30 PM)
